I believe my inner monologue will forever be narrated by Diane Von Furstenberg.

Damn those carbon foot prints!

Beautiful, not too hot summer days have graced our little town!  Everything is green, and the pollen has mellowed out just enough to not kill us all.  Life is good.  Excited to break out hot weather shoes and flirty dress, maxi and hi-low skirts!  Although riding my bike to work has been a little difficult with these summer staples, but I feel I will start a new trend called the Thigh Knot.  All the rage for lady like bicyclist.  Although showing that much leg might lead to different thinking.
I forgot how much I love riding a bike, I have to be honest, I felt like a truly terrible person for driving my car three blocks to work almost every morning.  Mostly because I didn't want to power walk in heels and was most likely running late.  But now that I have a reliable bike, who's tires will not be flat by the time I get off work (beach cruiser defect) I can ride easy minded and enjoy the wind in my hair.  Now I just need the right accessories to make my ride that much more fantastic.

Pinterestaholic.

practical magic house

I'm sure you have heard of this world wide phenomenon called Pinterest.  I partake in the world of Pinterest.  In fact I think I might have a problem.  I'm sure many of you who pinterest are slowly noticing you might have an addition as well.  There is no shame in this.  I love having a virtual pin board at my fingertips, it allows me to organize my crafty chaos.  Post my ultimate dream within a dream house filled with all the sparkly, interesting pieces of nic-nac's I can find.
Realistically there isn't a house big enough to hold all the shabby chic furniture and vintage mirrors I plan to have, so that is why I have Pinterest a mother in law's quarters to hold the rest, along with the classic distressed red barn and acreage that holds all my festive dinner parties and of course a place to get married.
Pinterst is a magical world, that allows you to dream up a life that you could actually make happen (if you have the patience and/or money).  I love the inspiration I get from just a picture.  I am already visual person so this is right up my ally.  It is also lovely to see what other people find inspiring, what their dream home might look like, or what they think their style is... Or what they might want it to be.
I think there might be something to this world wide addiction, I feel that there could be a lot of good done with this site, it's all about how we choose to use it.

The beauty of Maxi

Free People, Michael Kors, Free People

I'm quite found of the trendy Maxi skirt, it is possibly the most flattering trend to fit almost everyone.  Short, tall, skinny, wide, somehow the cascading fabric wraps itself around every body type and looks lovely.  Also a sweet perk, I believe they will continue on from season to season, or at least until someone decides reinvent the tea length skirt.  Good luck.

Born this way

www.bornshoes.com

We just got our fall look book from Born Shoes,  a booklet of romance and cozy fur.  Hard to picture when it is blistering out, but come fall these shearling lined love bugs will be a go to bootie.  Ooo I'm excited!  Unlike my coworker Jess, who loves their shoes, I mostly look forward to their look book fashion pictures.  Amazon women hiking amongst desert backgrounds, or damp mossy forests.  Oh how I wish I could get ahold of the clothing used in these photo shoots... If any of you know my closet, you know I would probably sit there with a quizzical frown thinking of a way to fit one more piece in there.  I'm quite excited for fall... Lots of layering in my future, knit tights, and long skirts tied with a small knot to show off some leg and more importantly boot.

Shoes for your feet. Shoes for your heart.

TOMS have been an essential shoe added to my collection this last year. I am an Advocate for TOMS, there for I spread knowledge about what TOMS are and what they stand for. Mantra: For every pair of TOMS you purchase, TOMS gives a pair of shoes to a child without shoes. ONE FOR ONE. It is a fantastic little operation, just getting bigger and bigger. Not only can you help a child by just buying shoes, you can purchase sunglasses, and potentially save someone's eye sight. This is not a commercial for you to buy TOMS, I'm just letting you in on something that is good, something that can grow and help a lot of people in the long run.
Not only do you help someone when you buy a pair, you have and extremely comfortable casual pair of shoes that becomes your best friend. I practically live in my TOMS...
